Tom Arbuthnot

Tom Arbuthnot is a specialist Unified Communications Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Master and MVP, with a number of years’ experience in the field working with many companies across different verticals on global UC projects.

He spent 5 years working for a Cisco UC specialist, before moving to Modality Systems to focus on the Microsoft UC offering. He has been involved in all aspects of UC projects from presales, scoping and design, through to deployment, support and user adoption.

He is heavily involved in the UC community, regularly blogging at, co-running the Microsoft UC User Group London ( and speaking at many user groups and global events such as Microsoft Lync Conference, TechEd and Ignite. He is a contributing author to Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Unleashed, and a regular on the popular The UC Architects podcast.
